Trip Overviews

Ever since the first expedition to the Everest in 1953 from the side of Nepal, the Mount Everest base camp has been a popular destination to the trekkers. The highest peak, the world's highest Buddhist monasteries and a village of Sherpas, the Everest Base camp is a well known mountain trek.

The trek starts off from the upper Pakding, following the Dudh Koshi Valley up to the Namche Bazaar, a busy bazaar and a junction for trekkers, local Sherpa and expeditions en route to the Mt. Everest. Throughout this journey you'll be delighted by the mesmerizing beauty of the magnificent rhododendron forests, and forests of magnolia and giant firs. Having the first view of Everest on the way, head towards the Thyangboche Monastery situated at a height of 3867m bounded by dwarf firs and rhododendrons, and structurally located with a splendid view of the Everest site. Descending to the Imja Khola to the villages of Pangboche and Pheriche, following the Khumbu glacier to Lobuche, pause for an amazing view of the Ama Dablam, Taweche and other peaks, and continue to Gorak Shep. Rising to Kala Pattar, you will get to observe the breathtaking views of the Himalayas that will literally numb your senses and make you realize the worthiness of the climb up there. You will be stunned by the charismatic view of the south west face of the Mt. Everest.
